This is my first blog entry - ever - so here goes.

I just wanted to thank EVERYONE who came to our dinner tonight, I think that everyone was as encouraged as I was. Also thankyou to all those people who donated, without you this trip would have been alot harder.

Ok so, if you were at the dinner you would have gotten a prayer card with one of those magical little strips of magnet to make it stick to your fridge. Hopefully it is already up there because I can tell you, we are going to need your prayer.

Please don't think that praying is something that people at home feebly do to make themselves feel better. Praying is a weapon, it is OUR best defence against the devil, and God will hear yours on our behalf on our mission trip. That being said I would encourage you to be in prayer for us over the next day especially- this trip is something God wanted to happen, therefore it is something that Satan wants to end. It is alot of firsts for alot of us too, I know my life is changing alot when i get back (new job/first career) and satan can use that against me so i freak out on the trip and take my focus off Gods plan for me, but there are ALOT of firsts for the rest of the team too. To give you a little idea here are some of our firsts:

- first time overseas for some of us.
- first time meeting eachother for some of us.
- first time sharing a room for some of us.
- first time leaving our children ever for some of us.
- first time doing a mission trip for some of us.
- first time working with a translator for some of us.

There are alot of firsts, alot of potential distractions. Pray for us, that we keep our eyes on Jesus. Add this to your special magnety prayer card. We feel your prayers, and God has made miracles happen already and will continue to do so.
Your prayers are (as Craig loves to say) 'Coveted' - strong word, but it is very true. This team isnt just the 7 of us, it is us, and you and your prayers and God. BEcause of this i know we cannot fail.

I hope and pray that I will remember this, you will remember this and my team will remember this.
